Hi Charles,

I understood what you were trying to say perfectly well. You were saying that as a human and a natural man, you have imperfections like everyone else and that these express themselves in the same kinds of moral failings that plague all of us.

What I wanted to do in my response was to remind you to look at things with your spiritual eyes to see yourself as God sees you. Because we are in Jesus Christ, we are righteous before God and are empowered to transcend our humanity and live and act like God. “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

If we lower our eyes from the spiritual truth, then we stumble in sin. When we walk in the Spirit, then our actions and manner of living lines up with spiritual reality – we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
