It is always good to improve your understanding. Just keep in mind that you won’t really understand anything until after putting it into practice. ‘Getting your Christian faith’ comes through the lived experience with God. Yes, you need to study, but it won’t really make sense until you can add to your studying the act of obedience.

I am only belaboring this point not to be argumentative or disagreeable but because that also happens to be both the fastest and only way to grow in the Christian faith. If you settle only for studying, it is easy to think yourself further along than you actually are. It is also easy to stray from the true way without actually realizing what has happened to you, and recovering from such mistakes can be very costly.
