Jesus — Why do you say Abba and not God?
Stephen C. Rose
21
The word “Abba” is Hebrew for father, and is roughly translated into English as the more personal/warm/affectionate “Daddy”. When Jesus called ‘El Elyon’ (The Most High God), it was an expression of the closeness of His relationship with God.
Taking the Lord’s name in vain have done here is not only offensive but also unwise. Exodus 20:7 (NLT) You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.
You would do well if you were to repent and remove your article as a show of your sincerity.
