Boston’s Magic Bubble Man

I live in Boston, overlooking a park we call Boston Common. The place dates from 1634, takes up about 50 acres and is the oldest city park in the United States. It was originally conceived as a common grazing area for the community’s cows.
Fast forward a few centuries and the Common is now a terrific public amenity for those of us lucky enough to live near it. Thousands of residents and tourists criss-cross it every day.
In the summer there is a guy who comes to the park on weekends to put on a bubble show. He has pails filled with what must be some sort of secret concoction (soapy water wouldn’t hold up well enough) and using a series of different “wands” he creates myriads of bubbles. Tiny, massive and all sizes in between. Little kids are quickly drawn to bubble man’s show. Their parents don’t mind coming either and for an hour or so the man puts magic in the air. He wants no money, he is giving away happiness for free.
