I co-authored an article with Jenny Woo (Design Lead of Watson Immersive Experiences at IBM) on some very cool data visualization + interaction design work we’ve been doing at Oblong Industries for Watson Discovery News… it’s always a pleasure to work with Jenny and her team at IBM https://medium.com/@jennythewoo/visualizing-the-news-with-watson-discovery-13e8be538428

In the article, we talk about how we approached the design for a real-time, immersive, interactive data visualization for the Watson Discovery News service:

The software is built in Oblong’s g-speak spatial operating environment, and runs in real-time across 5 computers and 45 screens — which means that we’re driving 93 million spatially and temporally synced pixels.

Please check out the full article for more details! I’ve also posted a few more installation photos here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Byi7H7Fn0xW/
