An explosion, late last night. The building shook and initially everyone screamed earthquake. By first light we saw a massive black cloud spreading to the north east of our position. This caused quite a stir and fired speculation. Felt I should somehow warn them. Hinted that, perhaps, after all, they’re not alone and that there could be others in this city that have been left behind. I told them to keep their eyes open. Explosions usually are not a good sign. I don’t think they grasped in full but I cannot let them know more or I risk being exposed.
