Amber caught me unawares, had to improvise. Back to us now. This place is larger than I thought. An underground city hewn in stone. They live on boiled roots and pulses. No synthfood or hydration pills. But what’s really inconceivable is their faith, their strong beliefs. They seem to come straight out of history mediums. Simply beautiful. Why would anyone forsake a life like this? If I could, I would stay here forever. Asked Carol, Jule and Isam if they want to hang here while I proceed to Gobi. The children would be safe for sure. But they won’t stay.
