A proper bed in a top floor lux apartment overlooking Central Forest, long hot showers, music, proper synthfood, good drink, great company. I could get used to this. But I shouldn’t. Comfort poisons the brain, makes you lazy. Lowers your guard. I’ve seen too much fighting in my younger days, the crazy Mojave Rebellions of twenty three years ago scarred me for life. It’s why I could never settle down. Why I’m afraid of starting a new life here with her. She said she can help me and I promised to try. But is this the life I really want?
