After fourteen hours of walking we covered nearly fifty leagues. Camping in a small cave tonight. Isam went looking for wood so we can make a fire. There’s a valley beneath our position where we saw a few living trees. Many dead ones among them as well. Sent a message to Coral, telling her I’m missing her. She was online and we talked for a while while the sky darkened and the first stars came out–saw a shooting star and like two young lovers made our wish upon it. For the first time since the departure, I’m glad I stayed.
