Rough Week. Great Life.
Johnny B. Aka Waldo here, and I’m here to tell you that we all have bad days. Except, sometimes those days are actually weeks. In my case, I’ve had a rough week. But hey, we all have those weeks!!! At the end of the day, it was actually an incredible learning experience.
So let me explain.
Both Monday and Tuesday, I was supposed to be in the doorstep of Kia of Cornwall for 10:00am. Both Monday and Tuesday, I woke up at 6:30am, to be at work for 8:00am. TWO DAYS IN A ROW PEOPLE. I’M TELLIN’ YAH. Two days in a row that I arrive two hours early for my shift!!! Now, I guess that really isn’t a bad thing, in fact, you could say that my initiative is that of a Salesman God.
With all of that aside, I ran into my lovely day off on Wednesday. It was a fantastic day, I even delivered a vehicle to another lucky customer! But here we go again… Thursday and Friday. I always liked to say, ‘’why be early, when you can be late?’’,
MY MANAGERS, PLEASE READ HERE — the words you just read out of my fingers are all lies, I swear. I did it for the blog. *laughs anxiously*
Haaaaaaaaaa just kiddin’. In fact, I can honestly say that being late for work is most definitely something I do not endorse. I hate it with a passion. Unfortunately for me, my irresponsible actions (which consist of me falling asleep), have led to me forgetting to set my alarm. Yep… Two days in a row.
Both Thursday and Friday (today), I was scheduled for 9:00am, and I somehow had the audacity to show up at 9:48am and 10:03am, respectively. Needless to say, I really did feel the pressure as I was coming in this morning.
Despite the amount of pressure I had put on myself by being late, I still managed to sell another vehicle today! Woo! I’m stoked.
With a great team here at Kia of Cornwall, no matter what the case, I can always depend on my coworkers to keep me in the game. I’ve lucked out with getting myself a great gig as a Product Specialist here, and I really have nothing to complain about. It has most definitely been a rough week, but for this reason I can look even more forward to selling some extra cars next week!
I’m going to keep this blog short. My intention with this blog is to put pressure on the fact that a rough day, week, or even month, does not mean a rough life. There are always things to look forward to, you just need to choose what you want to look at! Hang in there, focus on your goals and focus on the people around you helping obtain those goals.
And, just a reminder. Sometimes, you have to create those things to look forward to. Sometimes, you won’t have a choice.
Cheers,
Johnny B. Aka Waldo
