English Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Actor, Producer, Lead Guitarist Beatles.

Last Words — George Harrison — Note

George Harrison passed away on November 29, 2001. His final words were recorded by his wife, Olivia Harrison, as very simply “love one another.”

Despite the treatments and operations, Harrison died at a Hollywood Hills mansion that was once leased by McCartney and was previously owned by Courtney Love. The cause of death was listed on his Los Angeles County death certificate as “metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.”

He was 58 years old.

Harrison was cremated at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and his ashes were scattered in the Ganges River by his close family in a private ceremony according to Hindu tradition.

Last Words — George Harrison — Star

On April 14, 2009, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awarded Harrison a Star on the Walk of Fame in front of the Capitol Records Building.

Security was unusually intense — a likely result of both the murder of John Lennon in 1980 and the 1999 attack on the Harrisons in their English home by a knife-wielding intruder.

Paul McCartney did not speak to the crowd, but instead rubbed Olivia’s shoulders, joked with Dhani and waved to fans.
