Apple is bad news for the future of the Web

Funny how, even with apple’s “stranglehold” on the web, native apps do better than web apps on iOS. Almost as if there’s some advantage. Almost as if “open” isn’t a substitute for speed and security.

Or that there are millions of people, in the US and other developed countries who don’t have the access or the money to have to burn through mobile minutes every time they want to do anything.

Because that’s impossible. Everyone has fast, constant, ubiquitous, free internet access. And Amazon never goes down, Google would never do anything unethical with your data and web apps are the most secure thing on the planet.


It couldn’t be that people keep not choosing web apps. No, it has to be Apple’s fault.
