It’s not worth $4000. It’s worth a) whatever the bitcoin market decides it’s worth on a given day and b) it’s not worth anything in the “real” world until it’s converted to currency whose value is consistently stable.

Which is the real problem with bitcoin et al. It’s a stock market not a currency market.
