Phantogram releases new single ‘Same Old Blues’ and goes on tour soon

Phantogram released a new single ‘Same Old Blues’. The composition will enter a new studio album, “Three”, the release of which is scheduled to October 17.

‘Same Old Blues’ is a powerful song that follows through on their promise of a dark, heavy album.

“Sarah, you know, lost her sister during the making of this album. Right in the middle of it, literally,” producer Ricky Reed explained about the heavy-hearted nature surrounding the album’s creative process.
“We were about five or six songs in. Becky passed away, and then we took time off, of course, and got back to work, and even before then it was a pretty dark album, and of course, you can imagine after. So, I think it might surprise people: how dark it is and how heavy it is at times. It’s really heavy; it’s very affronting.”

To date, the band have shared three songs from Three: “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore,” “Run Run Blood,” and “Cruel World.”

Pre-order of the album can be done on iTunes.

Phantogram will go on tour across the USA and Canada starting September 29 till November 5.
