The Stupidity of Determinism

You are assuming that people cannot rise above such tribalism. If you read your own analysis and understand it, then you should see the potential to intellectually evolve beyond a mind that has been educated to think that nothing can be done. That is the problem with the deterministic or ‘scientific’ approach to the world — it discounts us as people who can understand our weaknesses, see the problems they cause, and thereby resolve to transcend them.
