I’m not really up on this terminology: according to Nikolai it’s wrong to call a harrier (“выжлец”) a dog. But is a harrier the same thing as a greyhound (“борзая”) ? In any case, my sympathies are with the wolf (“волк”) in this chapter.
As to Seneca’s views on wealth, I think his would be a fairly widespread way of seeing things these days. This wasn’t the case for the original Stoics, but the problem now is that all of us in the developed world are collectively in the grip of unsustainable habits, that will require major upheavals to quit.
