Yes! I found this chapter uplifting and inspiring. Clever Tolstoy allows a cover for Bolkonsky’s sudden re-appraisal of his perspectives…readers can, if they wish, dismiss it as a feeling brought on by concussion and loss of blood. To me it also makes a powerful statement that change is possible, that you can learn to view the world differently. (It might even be possible to achieve this without the need for serious head-wounds…)
