Focusing is about saying no…

Focusing is about saying no. ~ Steve Jobs

Yes.

It’s a word we love to hear.

It’s a word we love to say.

When we hear yes, we likely just got something we wanted.

When we say yes, we likely just gave someone something THEY wanted.

Both feel good :-)

So what’s the issue?

When we say ‘YES’ to something or someone, we’re saying ‘no’ to EVERYTHING else we could be doing while fulfilling that yes.

When you re-frame saying yes in the above manner, the value of your yes skyrockets.

That’s a good thing.

There are absolutely times you should say yes, but only after evaluating the WHOLE picture.

Steve Jobs said NO to 1000 different product ideas, which allowed Apple to DOMINATE the handful of ideas they said yes to.

Where is your life headed?

Does saying ‘yes’ keep you moving along that path, or does it cause a detour?

I say yes to a lot of things, but no to 100x more.

Evaluate your opportunities as they are presented.

and fall in love with NO.
