I Was The Featured Poet At The April “2nd Monday Poets Night” At The Stamford, CT Town Center
I had the honor of being the “Featured Poet” on April 9th at the “2nd Monday Poets Night” at the Stamford Town Center In Stamford, CT. and had the opportunity to read for about 30 minutes.
Although the event was rather sparsely attended, it was a very nice night. It was MCed by Ralph Nazareth, coordinator of the long-running weekly “Tuesdays at Curley’s” poetry meetings, and a previous guest on my radio show, and Phyllis Bruns and Andy Campbell, from my home writers group, “The Mahopac Writers Group”, made the trip to lend support. Many of the poems that I read are contained in my brand new book, “Live At The Freight House Cafe”, now available on Amazon in both paperback (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0692105255/) and Kindle (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C6XKPB7/) formats.
There was a very nice promo for the event on “Poem Alley” (http://poemalley.blogspot.com/2018/04/john-f-mcmullen-at-barnes-noble-evening.html), which also provides direction to Curley’s for the weekly “get togethers”.
