Jaxon and the Vet

This is a story about Jaxon. He’s a bigger dog (75 pounds) but loves to be a lapdog, pillow or sock stealer. He’s a gentle giant who grew with my children (and me).

Jaxon is 9 years old. Still very active and sometimes acts like a puppy. Watching him and his brother with the zoomies is a happy sight. He. has grown over the years and has come to grips with his horrible bias agains possums and cats. Attacking vacuum cleaners and garbage cans are the exception.

Jaxon and I take an evening walk every day. He always has to check the liquid e-mails left by the numerous dogs. in the neighborhood . We have a great time and enjoy our warm Florida evenings.

All was good until about a month ago. Jaxon would attempt to urinate and it just wouldn’t come out. He would try and try but it was less than a dribble.

So tomorrow we go to the vet! Jaxon loves the staff and was excited to go.

Well the vet told me that the X-rays and all the. tests Show. a blocked urethra and many. stones in his bladder.

The vet said the urine was building up and Jaxon came real close to dying. I was shaken up and at a loss for words (not for long though).
