Droplets of water
beaded on plates of amber, red, gold
I step over them as they fall
gray days, bright times

I hear conversations
of others so like you
so unlike you
and every drop
and every leaf I see
and every word I hear
serves only to remind me
of what you are
to me

A silly poem, drafted while at work many years ago, sent in an email to my girlfriend who would eventually become my wife.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
