Hey Jon, great approach here! Although in Sketch 44 I can’t seem to get text symbols and overrides to work with the new resizing options. So if my base button symbol contains the text “BUTTON” and then I override an instance to read “MUCH LONGER LABEL”, the resizing trick doesn’t seem to work.
Any advice to offer here? Thanks for all you do!
Rodrigo, that is a great idea! I have been thinking about updating this post for a long time since everything changes so quickly these days. ;)
Is there anything specific you would interested in knowing more about? Apps, terminal setup, Node/NPM, Yarn, React, etc?
+1 for sharing your sandbox setup. I am currently researching methods for rapid prototyping with my UX team, where most of our designers are also proficient coders. Would you mind sharing more about the technical details of your sandboxes? Open source? :)
Thanks for sharing your insight and experiences with Framer. I too tried to accomplish a small project with the Framer trial and ended up not doing much. Then I came across this — http://prototyp.in/ which is basically Framer-in-the-browser for free. Check it out…
Great write-up and very similar to how my team is using Sketch and Craft together. I would LOVE to get a peek at your actual .sketch file, or even just an old unused version of it. Your inclusion of documentation and usage guideline within the .sketch file are 👍
