Together We Can Make America Not Terrifying Again

This is an excellent piece and I completely agree. I never thought I’d say this, but I miss Bush, and Romney and McCain. Like you, I trotted out the fascist label when I spoke or thought of them (particularly Bush.) But Christ. Now I realize I had no idea what the fuck fascism is.

When Trump was first nominated My thought was this will be disastrous for the right but it will give them a chance to purge the ranks of the fringe crazies. Now I realize the fringe crazies have taken over the party and they’ve purged the sane. I have no idea what it will take to wake them up from their collective madness, but my gut feeling tells me it won’t happen until we see a lot of very bad things. If we don’t unite and vote of Clinton we could be complicit in that.

The idea of Trump winning the presidency made me laugh when he announced his candidacy. Now I’m starting to get scared it might happen. If it does, I don’t see 8 years of a president I disagree with on taxation, or government spending, or some shit but instead I see a threat to our democracy and world order that’s been in place since 1946.
