It’s very interesting that you bring up the notion of scaling at the right time. On an ecosystem level, I partially agree that Pittsburgh has scaled beyond what the system can support for the simple reason that some of the pieces can scale up faster than others. And when you have that disparity, it throws the entire growth process for multiple loops.

At times, I think we forget that community growth is a very messy process that often has offshoots that die only moments after they bloom. Instead of focusing on doing less things, better — perhaps we should focus on being able to identify and detect the next batch of “all-star” EVs faster. I doubt that the entire community will ever be in a place of total agreement or be able to coordinate a move towards one direction. However, if you can gather and work with enough EVs, you have the potential to create a major momentum swing in a single direction depending on the surrounding elements.
