Marketing maven, media maniac, misplaced Midwesterner
A fellow Warner Bros. employee solicited us on the WB forum on LinkedIn for “Advice Professionals Wish They Got When Still In College.” Here’s what immediately came to my mind:
Get into the habit/discipline of Saving (i.e. avoid all lines of credit).
The new marketing.
1. It’s about The Unexpected, and, even better, The Anticipated.
2. It’s about selling something twice — B2B and then B2C.
3. It’s about Removing Barriers.
So much of marketing strategy failings is due to inconsistent nomenclature. The team is literally not on the same page from the outset.
Here’s how I use the terms. Your results may vary, but I think of these oft-misused three words…
