One might say that it is a woman’s individual choice to self-educate and rise above, but god damn this world makes that a difficult thing to do. It shouldn’t be something that requires superhuman resolve. We all recognise that the ad is meant to be in jest, but there is a grain of truth in every joke, and it does indeed reflect the primitive psyche of its producers. They’ll argue that its harmless and fun, but it is these singular instances compounded throughout the media that propagate a collective mindset. Ultratune need to recognise the importance of being conscious and that making the world a better place comes down to the combined actions of the people with a voice.
