Transgender athletes: equality or struggle for the electorate

In the modern world, sports principles have turned out to be almost the main stronghold of “sexism” and “ageism”. If in most areas of our life a strict distinction by sex and age is called discrimination, then in sports it is a guarantee of a fair competition. It turned out that science, which has learned to edit DNA and accelerate bosons to the speed of light, is not able to draw a simple clear line between a man and a woman. Some scientists are convinced that this line is very unsteady through the efforts of nature, and it is almost impossible to determine universal criteria here.

However, this approach is a real nightmare in the field of Sports. Indeed, for admission to women’s competitions, a bunch of methods have already been rejected: a visual examination by a specialist (as degrading), checking the chromosome set (as an unscientific method) and even calculating the blood level of the male hormone testosterone (since there is no scientific data on how it is related to results improvement). At the same time, it is not clear why going to the pee in the presence of a doping officer is a “fight for clean sport”, and checking the sex with a gynecologist or andrologist is a “humiliation of human dignity”. The gender issue is now so politicized that there is no chance for objective scientific solutions.

In America, restrictions on transgender people are now mostly introduced in the states that are controlled by the Republicans. In regions where Democrats are in power, boys can enter girls’ competitions without any barriers, simply by telling the organizers that they feel they are of the opposite sex. In the US, you can change sex without parental consent from the age of 13, and therefore teenagers in various stages of the “transition” meet regularly. For athletes who were born girls the situation is critical. Especially in those cases when a transgender has managed to pass male puberty and in fact is a woman with a male body.

No amount of talent, training or effort can make up for the natural physical advantages males have over females,” Reynolds said, making her position clear. “It’s simply a reality of human biology. Forcing females to compete against males is the opposite of inclusivity, and it’s absolutely unfair.”

-Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds

However, this issue has acquired a clear political connotation in recent years. It got to the point that even scientists who, at the request of the International Athletics Federation, calculated the relationship between testosterone levels and women’s performance in running at a distance of 400 to 1500 meters, eventually withdrew their work. Moreover, the International Olympic Committee left sports federations to deal with this dangerous topic.

American and British sociologists claim that over the past decade, the number of children who feel ashamed to remain in the gender in which they were born has grown a thousandfold in the United States (according to the Tavistock Institute, among boys — by 1500%, among girls — in general by 5500%). Based on the totality of the facts, scientists come to the conclusion that the epidemic of gender dysphoria is directly caused by the “brainwashing and agenda” that has not stopped for many years.

In the meantime, through the efforts of the Democrats, the very word “transgender” is spreading in the United States with the speed and pressure of a shock wave. If in search queries until 2021 it was found in isolated cases, then over the past 18 months in the New York Times magazine alone it appeared 2874 times.

So what is the real reason?

The report, which was written on the basis of a public opinion poll on how parents feel about the fact that the problems of the sexual development of their children are increasingly and more aggressively politicized, was published back in 2018. At that moment, it was treated as one of the countless opinion polls that are conducted in America for any reason. But it turned out that the problem raised then was not only not resolved, but, on the contrary, is gaining momentum as the Mid-term elections approach.

Parents also report that their children exhibited an increase in social media/internet use prior to disclosure of a transgender identity. Academics have raised questions about the role of social media in the development of gender dysphoria.

For children the current information surge leads to a neurotic state, up to hysterical seizures, when they begin to look for signs of a non-traditional sexual orientation within themselves. And if they do not find them, they begin to invent them. It this leads to depression, suicide attempts and distortion of sexual role behavior, which can break a person’s life forever.

Scientists see an increase in the frequency of discussing gender issues in the media and social networks.”

-The report

But instead of downplaying this mass teenage frenzy, American politicians have seized on the phenomenon in an attempt to score points in the eyes of a concerned public. Recently, the tag #TransKidsLivesMatter appeared on social networks for the first time, defiantly copying the slogan of another “progressive” movement #BlackLivesMatter.

Naturally, most of these slogans come from representatives of the Democratic Party. They are promoting theses in support of transgender Americans. They need new votes that can turn the tide of the vote.

As November 8 approaches, the issue of the struggle for the electorate is particularly acute. Especially when the Democrats are to lose their majority in the Senate.

Delaware is an example of this success. One of the reasons the state is fully Democratic is its transgender policy.

It was Delaware to elect the first ever transgender woman senator, 30-year-old Sarah McBride. The Democratic Party representative and LGBTQ activist received a seat in the Senate from Delaware, which made her the transgender who rose above all in the US political ladder. And this is not the only breakthrough in Sarah McBride’s career — she has previously managed to achieve what other transgender people have not done: she was, for example, the first representative who got an internship at the White House (this was under the administration of Barack Obama). In 2016, she became the first transgender to speak at the US Democratic National Convention.

Since the beginning of 2021, the demand for gender reassignment and hormonal therapy for teenagers has skyrocketed in Delaware. Slogans that it is normal to be transgender can be found on city streets. Moreover, in sports, transgender Americans can perform on par with other athletes.

At the same time, in the state of Utah, which is completely Republican, out of 85,000 schoolchildren only four identified themselves as transgender.

That’s why the Republicans are sounding the alarm. It turns out that for their own benefit, the Democrats are promoting the values they need in order to protect their interests, not the interests of transgender Americans.

No matter how terrible it may sound, but the topic of sexual minorities has objectively acquired signs of a viral infection: it is picked up even by those politicians who actually do not see anything abnormal in the traditional orientation. However, they are forced to excite this topic by political expediency.

On the contrary, representatives of the Republican Party understand what all this can lead to. For example, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has asked the state Supreme Court to intervene to allow child abuse investigations into parents of transgender children. His request comes just days after a Texas appeals court reinstated a temporary injunction blocking the state’s child welfare agency from investigating parents solely because they provide gender-affirming care to their children.

As a result, Texas clinics where transgender people received hormonal treatments were forced to close. By his decision, the prosecutor, a Republican, challenged the earlier decision of the judge (Democrat), who did not find anything criminal in this practice.
