Deprecating my Medium articles

It’s now been 4 months since I stopped cross-posting my weekly Swift articles here on Medium. However, since then, I’ve tried my best to keep up with maintaining all my existing Medium articles for new versions of Swift — to fix minor errors in the code samples or spelling mistakes — but since I now have written over 80 articles about Swift, it’s getting harder and harder to do so.

While I’m still continously updating all of my existing Swift articles over at Swift by Sundell, I’m now officially deprecating all my Medium articles. While I won’t delete the articles (that would break a lot of links, and honestly, feels a bit excessive — since I still quite like Medium), you’ll start seeing deprecation warnings on top of them.

Each deprecation of course includes a direct link to an updated, new version of that post on Swift by Sundell, which now includes brand new — much more accurate — syntax highlighting powered by Splash.

As Swift and our community continues to evolve, I hope to be able to support my articles for a long time — to keep them fresh, up to date and valuable to the community (and of course, always free and fully accessible to everyone). This move will make it much more feasible for me to keep doing that.

As always, I really appreciate you reading my posts — you’re awesome! 🚀
