The Truth is Dead — Long live honesty. All knowledge is partial. Science doesn’t tell us the truth — it provides an honest account of honest evidence to support an honest theory. By definition scientific knowledge has to be contestable.
But by providing an honest account the account can then be held accountable — thus challenging dishonesty. Thus science is more than method — it is an institution of conversation (called peer-review, publishing, replication, etc.).
By beginning with honest accounts — we invite conversation rather than challenge of who’s Truth is true.
