Happy Birthday Ma’am.
Queen Elizabeth II was 90 on 21st April this year. Not only is that a pretty epic achievement in terms of life, but she is also the longest serving monarch of the UK and the Commonwealth — she surpassed her great great Grandmother (Queen Victoria) on the 9th September 2015. To date she has been on the throne for 64 Years and 77 days. She is also the oldest UK monarch ever.
Of course; the Queen is just a kind of figurehead, she does hold some powers, but chooses to let the prime minister of the time (and their political party) run the country. Having said that, I have tremendous respect for the Queen — she has served this country with dedication and utter professionalism for her life as Queen. 90 years is a really long time, and yet she seems to be as sharp and as on the ball as she has ever been. Long may she reign.
Happy Birthday Ma’am.
