Brilliantly written Brenda. The following stood out for me “There are no shortcuts to mastery. Instead, it is something that needs to be intentionally developed. Ask yourself (and those around you): What are my biggest areas for growth? What skills do I need to develop in order to become an expert?” , paticularly your comment about asking others — if you want to take leadership seriously you have to engage others in your development and by getting “feed forward” from others you excelerate your growth.
