One of my favorite “Princess-Engineer” stories is MIT Engineer/EE/Entrepreneur Limor “Ladyada” Fried. She founded “Adafruit.com” which is like a drugstore for new tech, learning, and more. She’s brilliant as the sun, and at the same time is into “girly” things like making things look nice, making cool (electronic) jewelry and textiles, and just generally helping people look awesome.

I can’t speak highly enough of her and the amazing team she’s assembled, led, and managed, in the last 10 years, but she’s done incredible things, and built a business that takes as much money from me as I can spare to throw her way. I highly recommend checking out her site for things to interest young ladies interested in both engineering and beauty — no reason to separate the two.

Remember: truly brilliant engineering has an elegant grace and beauty.
