Tired of killing yourself trying to clean your beautiful glass shower?

I did a bathroom restoration and put in a nice glass stall shower. I even paid extra for a special finish that didn’t leave water spots (Don’t waste your money).

Now only 3 years later, the glass has water stains and soap scum. I spent literally hours using all kinds of shower and glass cleaners until my arm went numb to no avail!

After tons of Internet research, I was finally able to clean the shower glass and make it look brand new again.

Note: This is not an advertisement for any product nor do I get paid for recommending any product. I just wanted people to try this solution without wasting a lot of time, money and elbow grease.

  1. Mix a fabric softener with vinegar into a spray bottle — this will help you clean the caulking nicely. You can also try it on the shower glass but instead of using elbow grease, do yourself a favor and use a Drill Brush Scrubber
  2. Depending on the amount of water stains and soap scum, #1 may do the job but most likely you will need something else… and after scoffing at the cost but being impressed with the reviews, I spent close to $50 for a 4oz bottle of DFI Glass Rescue and yes, it worked wonders, especially when using the Drill Brush Scrubber. Given the number of products I’ve tried over the years, it was well worth the cost and should be good for 2–3 applications to 3 large panes of glass (note: only when the glass gets really bad do you need to use this — so maybe twice a year)
  3. Finally, now that everything is shiny and beautiful, buy yourself a squeegee and after every shower, take a minute to squeegee off the water to prevent water stains and soap scum.
