The Importance Of Teamwork
For agents, the decision to create or join a team may be the most critical decision made in your career. The possibilities ( or even career repercussions) of your team decision may affect your wallet, your reputation, and even your brand.
The stated goal for an agent team is to create a synergy of talent, knowledge, work ethic, and labor so that all members share not only the labor, but also the financial benefit of that labor. Ultimately, the team expands its client base, its brand, and its revenue.

I have spoken about the need for REAL teams on several occasions.
There are two primary themes for our team building:
The first revolves around experience and geography. New agents who are not generally practiced in all aspects of our profession can join up with more experienced agents. These new agents can learn and earn in these environments. The question becomes..”What do the relatively inexperienced agents bring to the team table?” In many cases, new agents can add “geography” to the team. These agents can focus on showings for buyers in areas not generally serviced by other team agents. These new agents expand the reach of the team; then the more experienced agents can focus on closing the deals. In other cases, a particular skill set of a new agent (e.g accounting, tax planning) acquired with a current or previous vocation may serve the group in that administrative capacity. In either scenario, this team approach resembles a mentor relationship with more experienced agents guiding newer ones.
The second team concept focuses on specialization. In this case, the team specialists build a team to expand the specialty. For example, we are forming a short sale team centered around agent experts. Agents of all experience levels can join specialty teams to learn more about the niche and expand its customer base. Other specialized teams will focus on housing types such as condos or coops or clients such as millennium 1st time home-buyers. These teams focus on the members’ learning about the niche and creating a product that can be sold to potential customers.
Whatever your focus or motivation to join a team, it’s a REAL application with us. Use you app community function to look for team members or create your team concept.
