Binge on More Media #1

They’re British tentacles, so they are more polite than some other tentacles I can think of

English author Jonathan L. Howard, creator of the delightful wicked protag Johannes Cabal the necromancer, wrote a 320-page love letter to H.P. Lovecraft. While many homages to the mythos of Cthulhu are retreads tiredly waving god aliens at horrified puny mortals, Carter & Lovecraft pulls a deeper, idiosyncratic spirit of mystery and the maddening incomprehensible from H.P.’s oeuvre. GORE: Some. HUMOR: A nice amount. AMERICAN CHARAS: All of them, and it’s always fun to watch British authors write about the USA; they tend to depict us as England’s eccentric spin-off.
