John 15:5
‘I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.’

It just hit me in the face (or heart). Sometimes we focus so much on the fact that without Him we will not have the strength, ability, and power to do a task. Vice versa, with Him, we will have the ability to.

But I think sometimes with that, we are missing the point. The point is not having the strength to do something.

The point is Him. The point is that before anything else — abide (G3306), dwell, tarry, not depart, wait till I am in Him and He in me.

We focus so much on the second part of the verse, mutter those prayers of help, calling on His name but have we tarried in His presence.
