Passed my First Written Assessment
For the past two months I have been taking a course in Launch School called Ruby and Programming Foundations. I finished the course almost two weeks ago and then began studying for a two-part assessment. Part one is a written exam. There are 21 questions that require very thorough and precise answers on explaining what is happening in little chunks of code or explaining how some underlying mechanism works within a chunk of code or a method. Well I took the written exam last week and I just got my final grade back! I passed with a 98%! I received 103 points out of 105. I was so surprised and excited to receive this grade! Not that I didn’t work hard and study hard to learn and understand the material, but only missing two points was a very pleasant surprise! I will now be preparing for part two of the assessment, which is an video interview / coding and problem solving challenge. I am considerably more nervous for this this part as I am a fairly shy person and get nervous when “performing” in front of others.
