“Ask and we deliver” Oh internets how I love you! :)

I personally don’t even care about how they compare to Amazon S3 and the like, as ‘forever’ storage is what I’m after. I‘m in the brainstorming phase for a project in the scholar publishing world, which to me seems to be screaming for disruption. In that regard I wonder which blockchain would be most suitable for decentralized/‘uncensorable’/‘forever’ hosting. Cost is one thing, but longevity and developer-friendliness are even more important to me. From the little reading I did so far, IPFS’s Filecoin seems like the most serious candidate. Blockstack looks very interesting too, but I believe it does not actually host files; that it is more like a blockchain-to-www portal. Apples and oranges again…

You can probably tell my crypto-fu is rather weak; I’m merely a web developer looking to extend his tool box. I understand the dust is far from settled in this space, but it would be nice to get some pointers on which blockchains are viable building blocks today or in the near future.
