Another Best-Selling Book to Enlighten Leaders

  1. Values influence your motivation to lead and ultimately the legacy you leave.
  2. Every decision you make is based on a value, whether you realize it or not. Your decisions are based on the cognitive standards of what you consider better or best versus good or not good.
  3. Problems attributed to miscommunication are often just the opposite. Most problems arise from clearly communicated differences in values.
  1. What are my key leadership values?
  2. What beliefs underlie these values?
  3. When, where, and how did these beliefs arise?
    a. Are they based on my experience?
    b. Did they come from my parents? Family members? Friends? Social or religious groups? The military?
    c. Did they come from another source or authority?
    d. Have my beliefs been validated by others?
    e. Have I ever challenged my beliefs?
  4. What might I believe if I let go of this belief and adopted another?
  5. Would my values shift if I were to consider a different belief? If yes, then how?
