The cost for adding SoundGuard at your hotel

Earlier today I was speaking with a large hotel group about using SoundGuard in some of their upcoming renovations. I explained the average hotel room costs approximately $1,000 for product and labor. Obviously there are many factors that might increase or decrease this number such as room size, number of coats, labor costs in your geographic market, etc.

Now let’s assume you own or manage a 250 room hotel and you want to add SoundGuard to the walls to improve the guest experience, provide a better sleeping environment, increase your online reviews and give your property a competitive edge over other hotels in your market.

Given there are numerous companies that will finance capital improvements like this or perhaps SoundGuard is part of a larger-scale scheduled renovation….either way this means you are probably borrowing capital at 6–7% interest for 6–10 years.

Here’s the financial breakdown: 250 rooms x $1,000 per room x 8 years x 6.5% interest = $3,285 monthly payment / 250 rooms = $13.38 per month per room This means your hotel could be adding SoundGuard’s soundproofing paint to your walls for less than $15 per month per room. Seems like a great investment to me.
