What Will Last of You?

If I ask my grandmother, she is actually able to tell me about my great grandparents or even my great great grandparents. The way they lived or about their personality. But that's it! If I want to know how tall my great great great grandfather was, it's not possible. I am not able to get information about my ancestors any further besides their names.

Isn't this crazy? They have lived on this beautiful planet too, but nobody knows anything about their lives. Who they were? How they lived? What dreams have died with them? Isn't it sad, that a huge amount of people with great knowledge were not able to share it. Imagine how the world could look like, if we could benefit from their advice to following generations.

Even if it’s as small as a pebble, just do it!

Imagine you would die tomorrow, and a few generations later there is not a single person who knows that you have ever existed. Just because you did nothing remarkable, that people hundreds of years later could remember you for? Or you have lived just a mediocre life without ups and downs. But I can't believe, that you know nothing that's worth sharing. Even if it's as small as a pebble, do it!

You could now say, even if I don't change something about my behaviour, I would be remembered for something, because I am already sharing something with the world. And I have to agree with you. In times of social media, that's true. But I don't know if you would prefer that your grandchildren know quite everything about your wild parties and one-night-stands in your 20s, or about the way you did a positive change on society? It's your decision!
