A better way to Instagram

Stop with the lame hashtag process already.

If you’re like me, you’re an Instagram fiend. Maybe you’re a photographer, who loves sharing his/her picks and finding amazing content from others. Maybe you run a small business and you use it as a marketing channel. Maybe you’re trying to gain a following just for the fun of the challenge. In any case, you probably spend way too much time finding and organizing hashtags.

Here is how it typically works.

  1. Figure out which picture to post.
  2. Think about what kind of tags you want to use. Do I use hashtags related to content, such as #imonaboat or them such as #livetoexplore? What about location related hashtags like #hawaii, or style related hashtags like #blackandwhite?
  3. Select a theme and start searching in the Instagram app. Scroll through the endless list of hashtags and try to find a few that look relevant and promising.
  4. Repeat 29 more times for maximum exposure.

After you’ve done this a few times you probably begin to keep documents or notes of your hashtags for each image so that you can simply copy and paste them each time you post. You may even already be using an app that helps you organize them, but in my experience you still have the problem of populating the hashtags in the first place.

I hated this process, but I love Instagram followers so I built a free app.

Sheesh uses state of the art artificial intelligence to automagically populate a list of hashtags for your photo. Download it today and let me know what you think. I’m hungry for your feedback!
