Should I Really Need To Be A Paying Medium Member?
This is not an advice but a question, rather. Please help me on this take if you’ve been signed up for Medium paid membership.

I’ve known Medium a couple of years ago, but I never signed up for free membership until last few months.
However, I am curious of the testimonies published on medium itself, and from members I came across with. I also read blogs about benefits of paid membership on this obviously large-audience platform. It tickled my brain to question ‘should I really need to be a paying member of this platform’? I mean sign up to paid membership?
“As a member, I am excited about The Edition newsletter delivered to my inbox weekly. More than ever, we need the internet to be a healthier place that cultivates compassion and intellect. I support Medium because it’s steering us towards that direction.” — Leona Hu Hudelson
And I’m so curious about this:
“Medium’s members-only Reading List allows me to quickly bookmark content as I see it, revisit it when I have the mental space to consume it, and then store it in a permanent archive once I’m done.” — Chris Messina
What Medium promises for Paid Membership is enticing to me, but…
Here’s what you’ll get when you sign up for Medium Paid membership that I believe is so thrilling…

I am on the verge of loving what Medium has offered on the free membership. However, I feel like paying for exclusive contents from great minds and experts is more rewarding. Is 5$ per month really worth it?
Are there any advantages for paid membership except from what mentioned upon signup?
And what are the disadvantages of being a free member? You personal experiences.
What are the good things you’ve got from paid membership so far?
How did it help you professionally, personally?
Please help me on this take. I really want to know it from you, guys, personally and not from the Medium’s FAQs statements.
Your comments are so much welcome. Thank you.
