Dear Friend,

I’m not going to say I’m a professional photographer because then I would be lying to you and that of course would not be such a great idea but I try, I really do. There’s something about capturing a candid and simplistic moment that can express the emotions and feelings we may not feel otherwise; or it can be a shot of time at pause, which once taken can take us back to the same second of that minute.

You see life can move so quickly, that once Friday reaches, you stop and analyze and ask yourself, “Where has the week gone by?” We desire the weekend as a time to unwind and relax from the sometimes constrain full duties of the week that we don’t stop and enjoy the small moments we live each day.

This is why I capture, or at least try to capture the moment, not only during the weekends, but each and every single day.

Life can be so beautifully challenging sometimes, but it’s those test that make life worth living. What would an easy life look like? Just sitting around in the sofa scrolling thru newsfeed after newsfeed, and some very occasional runs to the fridge? I think so! At least with challenges we know that we have something worth fighting for, something to strive for, a goal that looms over the horizon like the sun at dawn.

I guess you may be asking yourself, “But Jonathan, you told me that you were going to do this “Sunday Reel” thing to showcase pictures you’ve taken thru the week?” Why yes I am. But I feel that at it’s essence a picture tells a story, and I’m telling one right now, and thru this story I’m saying that life is a great process, let’s not dash thru the beautiful snippets of a clock that’s ticking.

With all this to say dear friend, I hope you find yourself at peace and having a good time, just remember whenever a challenge comes, don’t look at all the obstacles, but at the greatness that can come from accomplishing it!
