The elevation of humanity

In a time when technology is evolving as a faster pace than ever before, aberrant behavior has become commonplace, demonstrated with depression, mass shooting and separation among people. The worst thing is, it is only getting worse as we progress.

Now, technology does not need any change to evolve as it has always been a standard to make it better faster stronger and so on.

On the other hand, we humans have been using the same systems for centuries, whether it be the education system, the monetary system, not to mention our communication system.

What if the next phase of our evolution required inevitable changes in those areas for humanity to survive ? What if the monetary system as we know it has become an obstacle to our evolution ?

As I studied the history of humankind and behavioral science, I wondered what could have led us to so much suffering.

As for my observations so far, it seems that technology has reached a threshold where money and the values a monetary system engenders is preventing technology from advancing, and if technology happens to progress anyway, it has tremendous repercussions on the quality of people’s lives, resulting in unemployment, depression, competition, hatred and many other things.

A monetary system instills values of self centeredness in people, leading to greed, profit, bigotry, elitism and such things that fundamentally divides our ONE race; humanity.

You see, as we function within a monetary system, providing goods & services in exchange for money — which today is literally the mean to our survival — we have been blinded to tolerate the servitude and prejudice of others for our own well-being because it has been this way for so many centuries.

Think about that for a second, how absurd that is, to deprive others for our own leisure.

Unfortunately, the twist is that, as we have been used to it so much, we have convinced ourselves of its effectiveness and do not even question it. We do not even begin to imagine that something else could be possible.

Obsessed by evolution, I decided I would dive deeper into this issue to find out what it is the root cause of us stagnating and how we can break the pattern towards the elevation of humanity.

As I see it, most of us have limited levels of awareness on various topics, which cause us to have so-called breakthroughs that leads to decisions such as becoming vegan, minimalist, converting to another religion, etc.

In other words, when we are to question the standards of the environment we are brought up in, only then can we break free from culture and take such leaps.

Well, I believe the same phenomenon applies to any industry, and our economic system as well. As we obsereve and question what is considered the norms of our lifestyles today, we realize we could change our beliefs systems & values from self-centeredness and profit to the unity of all the world’s people, consideration for one another and the respect & preservation of our environment which is the Earth.

We can apply a scientific approach to the issues we face today, therefore become problem-solvers and look for the root causes of problems, instead of adding layers to currently occuring problems. As Jacque Fresco well said :

Instead of putting a sign saying “slippery when wet” why don’t we apply existing technology to use a non-slippery surface in the first place !?

It seems to me that the only solution for humanity to elevate, is to change our core values for the respect of the environment — meaning living in accordance to its available resources, rather than overconsumption — the unity of all the world’s people and the consideration of one another.

Also, it is necessary that we transcend the impact emotions have on us in order to tackle truly important problems for the betterment of our quality of living in the long term and find a better way of communication.

All that said, this is the thinking I have been having for many years now, and living in an environment where the suffering of others is considered norm has become totally unacceptable. Also, I have come across a project which represents all my values to the closest and proposes a workable solution for humanity.

The name of the project is The Venus Project, presenting a Resource Based Economy, which you can learn more about by visiting their websites :
