I am a Woman. You are a Trans Woman. And That Distinction Matters.

I asked why, as a woman who was born with woman parts, it is considered transphobic to want to have conversation about the distinct and unquestionable differences in life experience between cis and trans women. I asked why, when women have faced systematic violence at the hands of men and 1 in six women is raped, it is wrong for cis women to have some spaces just for them to feel safe in a world where they don’t. And I was immediately threatened, labeled as transphobic, and left to feel as if my voice was nothing.

The mainstream feminist establishment is doing the job of male power for them, a lot of the time.

You are interested in truth; but they are not, so much.

I don’t see anything wrong with the questions you are asking.

They are legitimate matters to raise.

And whether you identify as a feminist or not, there should be an opportunity to say them.
