Health, Wellness, and Yoga
As I get older, and smarter, I’ve learned that creating routines, is one of the secrets to success.
You get to create what you want, but it’s the consistent action that creates the results.
So, when I’m traveling for work, or on vacation, I add in time for a long run, a run (on the beach, is my favorite), stretching, weights, and of course yoga.
Even on short trips, or a night out of town, getting in some stretching or yoga really helps to center me.
I’m also a big fan of supporting the local yoga studios, their teachers, and their owners. It’s fun to learn about different locations, the studio vibe, and meet people from the local community.
On a recent trip to Flagstaff, AZ, during the winter, I really wanted to find a place to do a Hot Yoga class. I searched the web, google maps, looked at the pictures… my vibe? my type of class? Schedule?
All checked out so I walked over to the studio to see if it’s what I was hoping for. It was. The Foundry in Flagstaff was perfect.
Another local get away for other people living in the San Francisco Bay Area is Napa. Beautiful vineyards. Great temperatures. Lots of things to do… including Yoga!
Again, it’s the vibe, the class schedules, and the location that help me choose the right location for me. Google Maps is a great resource for this.
A friend of mine is opening a new Napa Yoga studio in December 2023, called Yoga West. I’m looking forward to the opening and seeing how the local yoga community supports their newest studio.
From what I can tell, it’s going to be in a perfect location in downtown Napa.
