Firstly, thanks for making such an awesome helmet! I have commuted with it ever since I got my First Edition model and have had several positive comments and enquiries as to where I bought it. I definitely feel safer when wearing it in traffic and it seems to get me noticed.
My biggest recommendation for new Lumos products is actually an old one – the handlebar remote with the little satellite buttons that you could position out near your hands. I believe this was available only with the First Edition – I’ve not seen it for sale since. I commute on a road bike – when I’m whizzing downhill, dodging potholes and needing to brake hard to make a turn, the last thing I want to do it move a hand from the bars to push a button – I then can’t brake, I can’t steer easily and I’m unbalanced. I have the satellite buttons positioned up on the hoods, just behind where my thumbs sit, and I can push them without moving my hands at all. These little add-ons really complete the helmet setup for me; without them, I don’t think I would find it nearly as useful as I wouldn’t want to be pushing the buttons without going much slower, which would defeat the purpose of a road bike.
I would suggest I’m not the only cyclist who has made this analysis, and reckon that even more people would use your helmet with the return of this little extra. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
