The International Coaching Federation has announced a new competency model for coaches and training organizations. The new model has been called both a significant update to the language of coaching AND a re-orientation of what it means to be a professional coach.

This new model was introduced in late 2019 and will go into effect on January 1, 2021. For our part, CoachNet will transition all our training in our Accredited Coach Training Program for the Fall 2020 courses. If you are applying for a new credential or renewing your existing credential in 2021, you’ll need to be up to speed with the new ICF Core Competencies!

Recording #3 covers 5. Maintains Presence and 6. Listens Actively. This event took place on May 14, 2020.

Here’s the third recording in our series of four:

Don’t miss the last event in the Core Competency Series, coming up in June. And watch for a potential July event around the ICF Code of Ethics.

The Final Event in the Core Competency Overview Series

June 11: 7–9 pm Eastern
