God welcomes Chester Bennington to heaven after qualifying he wasn’t a huge fan of Linkin Park.

After noting that he hadn’t even listened to the band much since 2003, the lord welcomed Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington to heaven this morning.
“Honestly I was never the biggest fan of you guys,” God told Bennington — who took his own life at the age of 41 — at the Pearly Gates. “I mean, I listened to Hybrid Theory back in the day but not much since then… anyway, welcome to heaven.”
After a brief tour of the facilities, God sat down with Bennington to further explain how, despite Linkin Park being the single band that hasn’t left his iPod in 15 years, he just wasn’t all that into them.
“I mean don’t get me wrong, I still listen to Numb every once in a while,” God said. “That song is a classic. I’m just not what you might call a ‘fan.’”
God then showed Bennington to his room, where he explained that, despite a few great tracks along the way, Linkin Park hadn’t really evolved to fit his taste lately. “The stuff you did with Jay-Z was awesome. I still bump that at parties. I just find your newer stuff a little derivative. Not saying it’s bad! Just not for me,” clarified God.
Finally, before allowing Bennington to settle in, God explained how his taste in music had simply changed over time. “I just ended up identifying more with other bands, you know? System of a Down, Opeth, Avenged Sevenfold, Tool, that kind of stuff. I guess it all started with you guys, though.” God then left Bennington to explore on his own.
He was last seen in a warm embrace with Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell.
